ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR:

Shawn Tolleson is a career strategist and filmmaker.  With her company Strategy Coaching, Shawn has worked with thousands of entertainment industry professionals to create career breakthroughs. She has coached writers to landing TV staff writing positions, directors to securing financing for their projects, and actors and directors to signing with representation that is passionate about them.  She has coached composers and DPs to securing jobs on feature films and television shows, actors to securing high profile auditions, and worked with all types of industry professionals in transforming their supporters into true believers - true believers who have gotten them work!

As a director, she recently worked with Martin Sheen on a proof-of-concept short for her feature Shakespeare's Henry IV, which is being financed to shoot later this year with Sheen and Angela Bassett.  She directed the world premiere of Sam Shepard's play It Wasn't Proust and Josh Rebell's Black Tie Affairs, and was a writer/director for the first webshow created parallel to a network television show, Dean Devlin's TheVisitor.com.  She's also pitched extensively, selling a romantic-comedy feature pitch to Warner Bros.  She has produced and production managed 100+ commercial, music video and high fashion still productions including the Rolling Stones' music video Rain Fall Down, Coke and BMW commercials, and cover and editorial spreads for Vogue and W Magazine for Steven Meisel.
