AMERICAN PAVILION EMERGING FILMMAKER SHOWCASE AT CANNES

The American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase at Cannes supports upcoming filmmakers by screening their films at The Pavilion during the Festival while providing an opportunity for these filmmakers to connect with the global audience at Cannes.
 
About the Showcase:
Since 1989, The American Pavilion has offered opportunities in Cannes to film students from around the world. The 2010 Emerging Filmmaker Showcase will provide an opportunity for young filmmakers to have their work seen by Cannes Festival/ Market attendees. Prizes will be awarded to filmmakers and the top ten films will be screened in a special "Emerging Filmmaker" showcase at The American Pavilion in Cannes. All films accepted into the showcase will be available for screening on an ongoing basis at The American Pavilion during the Festival and the winning films will be featured in a special showcase screening for an invited audience of industry professionals.
 
Benefits:

* Winning films will be screened at a special invitation only screening in The American Pavilion during the Cannes Film Festival.

* Winning films will be included on an American Pavilion compilation DVD to be submitted to professionals in the film industry.
* Winning films to be screened at a special Industry Showcase screening in Los Angeles.

Entry Guidelines:

* Films accepted from current undergraduate and graduate school students OR emerging filmmakers up to three years post-graduation.
* Films should be under 20 minutes in length.
* Open to ALL genres, narratives and documentaries, animated or live-action.
* The film must be available for exhibition in DVD format
* Films must be completed in 2008, 2009 or 2010

1.  When you arrive to the "Submission Details" page, first select the "Earlier Deadline" link in Section 1 and then "Regular Deadline – February 5, 2010"
2.  Select the option below that says "I have received a Deadline Waiver but not a Fee Waiver"
3.  Enter INFOLIST in the field asking "Who granted the waiver?"
4.  Enter INFOLIST in the field titled "Reason for waiver?"
